When Rye Hills Academy in Redcar, Teesside required an efficient lighting upgrade for their 3G sports pitch, Luceco delivered with a new energy saving and future-proof solution.
What problem did Luceco solve?
Purchased by Wyre Forest District Council in 2024, the Piano Building project is part of the The academy faced the challenge of an ageing floodlighting system with expensive light source replacements for the old technology.
The lighting upgrade was part of a larger refurbishment project, creating a state-of-the-art, multi-sports pitch, with £250,000 of support from Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council’s Levelling Up Fund, benefiting both the academy and local community.
The pitch is also home to the Redcar Hockey Club who, now the facilities are complete, can return to their home ground.
