Case Study: Veeva Systems

LUCECO DELIVERS BESPOKE ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING SOLUTION FOR VEEVA SYSTEMS LONDON OFFICE

Client Name: High Leigh School

Project Location:  Marylebone, London

Project Manager: Ben Smith

Date: January 2026

When global cloud software leader Veeva Systems set out to create a bold new workplace in London, the brief demanded more than just functional lighting. The space needed to reflect the company’s vibrant identity, encourage collaboration, and create a memorable experience for employees and visitors alike.

Working alongside fit-out specialist Habit Action and electrical contractor R&H Electrical, Luceco delivered a highly bespoke architectural lighting scheme that combined performance, creativity and precision engineering.

At the heart of the project was a completely unique suspended linear lighting feature spanning more than 100 metres throughout the building. Manufactured in Veeva’s signature orange RAL colour, the flowing luminaire was carefully designed to flow through the space and mirror the curvature of the interior furniture, creating a striking visual identity across the workspace.

The bespoke linear system became a defining feature of the project, weaving through the office environment and helping to reinforce the client’s brand throughout the space.

A blend of architectural aesthetics and practical performance

Alongside the feature lighting, Luceco supplied a range of luminaires to complement the modern workplace design while ensuring excellent visual comfort and functionality throughout the office.

The scheme incorporated:

Platinum Surface Mount Downlights Offering a sleek, modern finish with efficient light output, ideal for circulation spaces and breakout areas.
Contour Suspended  A contemporary suspended linear solution, delivering clean lines and architectural impact while providing uniform, high-quality illumination across open-plan office environments.
Contour Recessed  A sleek integrated linear luminaire designed to blend seamlessly into architectural surfaces, creating a minimalist appearance with smooth, consistent illumination.
Platinum Mini Downlights Ensuring controlled, low-glare illumination in individual work zones.
Tempus DALI  Integrating safety compliance seamlessly into the overall design scheme.

One of the standout areas within the project was the games room, where Luceco engineered a fully bespoke Contour luminaire installation that transitioned seamlessly from suspended into recessed wall integration. The result created continuous runs of light that enhanced the immersive and playful nature of the space while maintaining the clean architectural aesthetic throughout.

Delivering a collaborative vision

The project required close coordination between design, manufacturing and installation teams to achieve the bespoke detailing and demanding programme requirements. Luceco worked collaboratively with all project stakeholders to ensure the custom luminaires aligned perfectly with the architectural intent and could be delivered within programme timelines.

The final result is a visually distinctive workplace that balances creativity with high-quality illumination, helping to create an engaging and inspiring environment for Veeva employees and visitors alike.

Darren Head, Director of R&H Electrical, who managed the electrical full electrical delivery at Veeva systems, comments:

“This was an extremely challenging project from both a technical and programme perspective, with highly bespoke lighting features and demanding delivery timeframes throughout. Luceco worked collaboratively with the entire team to help bring the concept to life, providing excellent technical support, flexibility and communication at every stage. The custom lighting elements were particularly complex, but through a strong team effort we were able to successfully deliver a fantastic end result for the client.”

Ben Smith, Regional Manager Southern Projects at Luceco said:

“This was one of those projects where seeing the final result made all of the hard work behind the scenes truly worthwhile. The design vision was ambitious from the outset, and being able to help bring Habit Action’s concept for Veeva Systems to life was a real pleasure.

The bespoke lighting elements presented both technical and programme challenges throughout the project, but the collaboration between all parties was exceptional. R&H Electrical were fantastic to work with and played a huge part in driving the project forward at every stage. The end result is something everyone involved can be proud of, and we look forward to working with the teams again on future projects.”
